Le Trône, France's Japanese toilet specialist since 2005, welcomes you at 85 rue d'Assas, 75006 Paris, on the left bank. Phone: +33 1 42 45 01 73. E-mail: contact@letrone.com. Here is how to get here, what the showroom shows, and what you can try on site.

Getting to the shop: metro, RER and bus

Two metro stations are within walking distance: Vavin, on line 4, and Notre-Dame-des-Champs, on line 12. RER B stops at Port-Royal, south-east of rue d'Assas.

Five bus routes serve the neighbourhood. Route 83 stops at Michelet, the closest stop to the door, then at Observatoire-Assas; route 58 stops at Guynemer-Vavin, routes 82 and 91 at Campagne-Première, routes 38 and 82 at Val-de-Grâce and Auguste-Comte.

What the showroom shows

The showroom brings together the three families of the catalogue: Japanese toilets and WC, from wall-hung models to floor-standing ones, along with the washlet seats that convert existing toilets; the Japanese bath; and the essentials, hand basins and wall-mounted cisterns.

The houses on display are those of the catalogue: TOTO, Geberit, Roca, Daewon and TECE. Complete bathroom compositions stand alongside them, because a Japanese toilet is rarely chosen apart from the unit and the hand basin around it.

Try before you choose

The toilets can be tried on site: that is what this shop is for. You sit down, you try the warm water jet and the drying, you judge the room the appliance takes and the way it is operated.

A washlet seat is hard to describe and easy to try. One visit often settles a hesitation that reading had not resolved, and the expert on site answers questions of dimensions, water supply and power supply.

Free access or a consultation appointment

Access is free during the opening hours shown on this page: there is nothing to book. Coming unannounced is the normal way to discover the shop.

The consultation appointment lasts 30 minutes and serves another purpose: a project already prepared, dimensions, photographs, a plan, and someone who will not be interrupted. It has never been a condition for being received. It is booked from this page, on the slots opened at the edges of the free-access hours.

Take it away or have it delivered

Buying happens in the shop as well as online. Store pickup is free: you are told by e-mail as soon as the order is available, and you collect it during opening hours.

Delivery covers mainland France; Corsica and the French overseas territories are handled on quotation. Shipping costs are calculated by weight and shown before payment. The carrier brings the goods to the foot of the building, without going up to the floor: for a wall-hung toilet or a pack, plan for someone to take delivery. Installation is not sold online; it can be discussed at a consultation appointment.
