Welcome to letrone.com, the online store of the specialist in Japanese toilets since 2005. These terms ensure a clear, secure and reassuring relationship between you and Le Trône.
Article 1 - Purpose and scope
These terms and conditions of sale (the "Terms") govern, without restriction or reservation, all distance sales concluded on the letrone.com website (the "Site") between the company Le Trône (the "Seller" or "Le Trône") and any person making a purchase (the "Customer").
The Site sells bathroom equipment: Japanese toilets (washlets), washlet seats, hand basins, accessories and related items. Le Trône sells exclusively the supply of these products. Fitting and installation are not a service sold online; a design consultation appointment may be booked in store to prepare your project.
Any order implies the Customer's full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms, in the version in force on the day of the order. The Customer acknowledges having read and accepted them before validating the order, by ticking the box provided for that purpose. Le Trône reserves the right to amend its Terms; the version applicable to an order is the one accepted by the Customer at the time of that order.

Article 3 - Products and availability
The products offered for sale are presented in detailed sheets describing their essential characteristics. Photographs and illustrations are provided for illustrative purposes and are not contractual; they cannot bind the Seller.
Offers are valid as long as they appear on the Site and while stocks last. Availability is indicated on each product sheet. In the event of unavailability found after the order, the Customer is informed by email as soon as possible and refunded the corresponding amount, with no further compensation.
Article 4 - Prices
Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes, including VAT at the applicable rate. The rate applied is shown in your order summary and on your invoice, which breaks it down rate by rate.
The DEEE and PMCB eco-participation fees are included in the displayed price and detailed under the wording "including X euros of eco-fee". These contributions fund the collection and recycling of equipment and furnishing items at the end of their life.
Shipping costs are additional to the price of the items. They are calculated according to the weight of the order and displayed before validation, at the "Delivery" step of the ordering process.
Le Trône reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Products are invoiced on the basis of the rates in force at the time the order is recorded.
Article 5 - Order and validation
The order follows these steps: selecting items and adding them to the basket, signing in or creating an account, choosing the delivery method, choosing the payment method, the summary, acceptance of the Terms, then validation by the button carrying the "obligation to pay" wording. The sale is deemed concluded upon the Customer's receipt of the confirmation email summarising the order. Le Trône archives concluded contracts in accordance with the regulations.
Verification and fraud prevention: Le Trône reserves the right to verify the accuracy of the information provided, and to suspend or cancel any order showing an anomaly or a risk of fraud (payment default or incident, incorrect or inconsistent address, unresolved prior dispute). The Customer is informed and, where applicable, refunded.
Article 6 - Payment
The accepted means of payment are:
- Bank card (Visa, Mastercard, CB) via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd), a secure payment provider. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure interface: Le Trône never has access to them and does not retain any.
- Bank transfer: the bank details (RIB) are provided to the Customer, who states the order reference. The order is prepared upon receipt of the funds. Failing receipt of the transfer within 7 calendar days from validation of the order, the order may be cancelled.
Le Trône accepts neither cheques nor payment in instalments. The price is payable in full on the day of the order.
Article 7 - Retention of title
The products remain the full and entire property of Le Trône SARL until full payment of the price, in principal and ancillary amounts. This retention of title does not prevent the transfer to the Customer, upon physical delivery of the products, of the risks of loss or damage.
Article 8 - Delivery
Geographic area: deliveries are made within mainland France. Corsica and the French overseas territories are subject to a quotation: please consult us.
Scope of delivery: products are handed over at the building entrance, at the address given by the Customer. The carrier does not carry goods upstairs, cross a threshold, unpack them or take away packaging. For heavy or bulky products, the Customer arranges for someone able to take delivery to be present. Installation is not included (article 1).
Delivery methods:
- Free in-store collection (85 rue d'Assas, Paris 6th): the Customer is notified by email as soon as the order is available.
- Colissimo tracked for parcels.
- Kuehne-Nagel with appointment booking for shipments over 30 kg (toilets, packs).
Shipping costs: calculated by weight and shown at the "Delivery" step before validation.
Lead times: the lead time applicable to the order is communicated to the Customer before its confirmation. In the absence of a stated date or period, the Seller delivers without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the contract, in accordance with article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code. Should the Seller fail to meet its delivery obligation, the Customer has the rights provided for in articles L216-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code (formal notice then, where applicable, cancellation of the order and refund).
Tracking: the carrier, the shipment number and the tracking link are provided to the Customer by email.
Article 9 - Receipt and reservations
Upon receipt, the Customer (or their representative) is invited to check the condition and conformity of the products in the presence of the carrier. In the event of damage, a missing item or a visibly damaged parcel, the Customer is advised to report the apparent damage to the delivery driver, if possible by noting precise and dated reservations on the delivery note or receipt, then to inform Le Trône as soon as possible at contact@letrone.com, so that the situation can be handled as quickly as possible.
These steps are intended to facilitate the handling of the dispute with the carrier. They do not condition the rights that the consumer Customer holds under the legal guarantee of conformity, the guarantee against hidden defects and the right of withdrawal, which remain applicable in any event.
Article 10 - Right of withdrawal
In accordance with articles L221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the consumer Customer has a period of 14 days from receipt of the last product to exercise the right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons or bear any penalty.
Procedure: the Customer informs Le Trône of the decision, before the deadline expires, by an unambiguous statement, on 01 42 45 01 73 or at contact@letrone.com. The Customer may use the model form provided in Appendix 1. The return address is confirmed to the Customer by Le Trône.
Return: the products must be returned complete, with all their accessories and, where possible, in their original packaging. Return costs are borne by the Customer. The Customer may be held liable for any depreciation resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and proper functioning of the goods (article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code).
Legal exclusions: in accordance with article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply, in particular, to goods made to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalised, nor to sealed goods that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection and that have been unsealed after delivery.
Article 11 - Legal guarantees
Independently of any commercial warranty, Le Trône is liable for defects in the conformity of the goods under the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code) and for hidden defects in the item sold under the legal guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code).
Mandatory boxed legal notice:
The consumer has a period of two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the enforcement of the legal guarantee of conformity in the event of the appearance of a lack of conformity. During this period, the consumer is only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date of its appearance.
The legal guarantee of conformity entails an obligation to supply goods that conform to the contract. The consumer may request that the goods be brought into conformity by repair or replacement or, failing that, a reduction in price or cancellation of the contract, under the conditions set out in articles L. 217-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
The consumer may also enforce the guarantee against hidden defects in the item sold within the meaning of article 1641 of the Civil Code. In that case, the consumer may choose between cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sale price in accordance with article 1644 of the Civil Code.

Article 1648, first paragraph, of the Civil Code: "The action resulting from redhibitory defects must be brought by the buyer within a period of two years from the discovery of the defect."
For any enforcement of a legal guarantee, the Customer may contact Le Trône on 01 42 45 01 73 or at contact@letrone.com.
Article 12 - Refund
In the event of withdrawal, cancellation or a justified return, Le Trône refunds the Customer the full amount paid, including standard delivery costs, within a maximum period of 14 days. In the event of withdrawal, the refund may be deferred until the products are recovered or until the Customer has provided proof of their dispatch, whichever of these events occurs first.
The refund is made using the same means of payment as that used for the order, unless the Customer expressly agrees to another means. The refund does not incur any costs for the Customer.
Article 13 - Liability
Le Trône is liable for the proper performance of the obligations arising from the distance contract, in accordance with article L221-15 of the Consumer Code. However, its liability cannot be engaged in the event of misuse of the products, failure to comply with the manufacturer's instructions, normal wear and tear, or the occurrence of a force majeure event.
The Customer remains responsible for the choice of products in light of their technical constraints (dimensions, water supply, electrical supply). A design consultation appointment in store is available to assist them in defining their project.
